Answer:Day Before Surgery:

Dear Kathryn,

Today is the day before my surgery and I'm feeling anxious and scared. I spent most of the day trying to distract myself, but every time I think about what's going to happen tomorrow, my heart starts racing. My family and friends have been so supportive and loving, but I can't help feeling like I'm alone in this. I've been trying to stay positive and think about the outcome of the surgery, but the fear of the unknown is overwhelming. I hope everything goes well tomorrow and I come out of it safely.

Day After Surgery:

Dear Kathryn,

I made it through the surgery! It's been a rough day, but I'm grateful to be alive. The anesthesia made me feel groggy and disoriented, but the medical team was very attentive and helped me through it. I'm in a lot of pain, but the medication is helping. My family and friends have been checking in on me constantly, which makes me feel loved and cared for. The hardest part is not being able to move around freely, but I know I need to rest and recover. Overall, I'm just grateful to have made it through the surgery and look forward to healing and getting back to my normal life.
