Two angles lie along a straight line. If ∠ m ∠ A is four times the sum of ∠ m ∠ B plus 17.5°, how many degrees is ∠?

We know that the straight line are supplementary angles(180°).

∠A + ∠B = 180° ................ (1)

According to given conditions,

∠A = 4(∠B + 17.5°)

∠A = 4∠B + 70°

∠A - 4∠B = 70° ............ (2)

Subtract the Equation (1) from (2) we get .

5∠B = 110

∠B = 22° .............. (Divide both side by 5)

Put the vatue of ∠B in equation (1)

∠A + 22° = 180°

∠A = 158°
