Given:-

  • A polynomial 4x³ + 2x² + 1 - 3x

To find:-

  • To find out the standard form.
  • To classify it on the basis of degree and number of terms .

Answer:-

The given polynomial to us is ,

\implies 4x^3 + 2x^2 + 1 - 3x

Since the highest degree of variable is 3 , it is a cubic polynomial .

Cubic polynomial - A polynomial in which the highest degree of variable is 3 is called cubic polynomial.

Also , it has four terms in it , so on the basis of number of terms it can be classified as quadrinomial .

Quadrinomial - A polynomial having 4 terms in it is called quadrinomial.

Also the standard form of the cubic polynomial is ,

\implies ax^3 + bx^2 + cx + d

So on arranging the given polynomial in standard form, we have;

\implies \underline{\underline{ 4x^3 +2x^2-3x+1}}

This is our required answer.

and we are done!
