Two complementary angles, three times the measure of one of them is more than half the measure of the other by 18° find the measure of each of them.​

Answer:

18 ° and 72 °

Explanation:

Let one of the angles measure x°

Then , the other angle = (90 - x) (Since they are complementary)

∴ 3x =
(90-x)/(2)+18

⇒ 3x - 18 =
(90-x)/(2)

⇒2(3x-18) =
2((90-x)/(2))

⇒6x - 36 = 90 - x

⇒ 7x = 126

⇒ x = 18

So, One Angle = x° = 18°

And, the other angle = 90 - x° = 90 - 18° = 72°
