Answer: $559

Work:

You know she has 683 pictures total and 16 pictures fit on 1 page. 1 page costs $13. The question asks how much money she will spend to include all her pictures.

A proportion comparing the number of pages to the number of pictures can help to find how many pages she will need to buy:

(1)/(16) =
(x)/(683)

683 = 16x

x = 42.6875

X represents the number of pages she will need to buy to include all of her photos, however, you have to round up since you can't buy half a page, therefore she needs to buy 43 pages.

To find how much money she will spend you simply multiply the price per page ($13) by the number of pages she needs (43):

13 x 43 = 559

Therefore she will spend a total of $559 on her scrapbook.

Hope this helps :)
