Answer:

1. Eliminate Y because when both equations are added they will cancel each other out because of negative plus positive.

2. 19x=57

3. x=3

4. 10(3)-8y=-2

30-8y=-2

-8y=-32

y=4

5. (3,4)

6. Now we use the equation that we DID NOT USE TO SOLVE

9(3)+8(4)=59

27+32=59 which is true
