If you
√(36) you will get an answer of 6. This is the length of the sides of your square prism.

Now that you know your "a" value

you find your "h value, which is already given.

h= 9cm

a= 6cm

There are two faces which equal 36

36+36= 72

There are 6 faces to a prism and you know two so you have 4 left

9(6)= 54

54(4) = 216

Now you have all your numbers for surface area, so you add them up

215+72 = 288
