∠ 1 = 62° , ∠ 2 = 28°

Explanation:

angles 1 and 2 form a right angle = 90° , that is

∠ 1 + ∠ 2 = 90 ( substitute values )

x + 48 + 2x = 90

3x + 48 = 90 ( subtract 48 from both sides )

3x = 42 ( divide both sides by 3 )

x = 14

Then

∠ 1 = x + 48 = 14 + 48 = 62°

∠ 2 = 2x = 2 × 14 = 28°
