What is the final volume of 13.35 L of gas if the initial pressure of the gas is 75.98 kPa is changed to 2.00 atm? (L)

Given:

  • V1 = 13.35L
  • P1 = 75.98kPa = 0.75atm
  • P2 = 2.00 atm

▪︎ Assuming temperature constant!

To Find:

  • V2 = ?

Solution:

According to Boyles Law

P1V1=P2V2(Temp. constant)

So,

0.75×13.35 = 2.00×V2

V2 = (0.75×13.35)/2.00

V2 = 10.0125/2.00

V2 = 5.00625L
