Explanation:

You're only finding half of a circle but since you have 2, it is possible to just do the area of a circle which is
\pi r ^(2)

3.5 x 3.5 = 12.25

Because the radius of your circle is 3.5m but there are 2 of them you subtract 7 from 18 which give you 11:

Then you multiply 11 by 7.

= 77

Then add it all together.


a = (77 + 12.25\pi)m^(2)
