Option #1: Use the slope formula

(y_2-y_1)/(x_2-x_1)=(4-0)/(2-0)=(4)/(2) = 2

Option #2: Graph it and count.

To get from (0,0) to (2,4), you'd have to go up 4 units and to the right 2 units. The slope is
(4)/(2) = 2.
