if he gets 20 every week then you would have to work out how much is left to get and then keep counting in 20s till you reach that amount and you should get a total of 13weeks

Explanation:

Sam has saved $250 from working this summer. He keeps saving at a rate of $20 per week. After how many weeks will he have more than $500. Write an inequality to represent this situation, use w for the number of weeks.

250 + 20w > 500

20w > 250

w > 12.5 and round up to get:

After 13 weeks will he have more than $500.
