Answer:

15
(1)/(2)

Explanation:

30 - (9
(9)/(10) + 4
(3)/(5)) I need a common denominator. I could use lots of different numbers, but 10 would be the easiest.

(3)/(5) x
(2)/(2) =
(6)/(10)

30 - (9
(9)/(10) + 4
(6)/(10))

30 - 13
(15)/(10)

13
(15)/(10) is the same as 13 +
(10)/(10) +
(5)/(10) = 13 + 1 +
(5)/(10) = 14
(5)/(10)

30 - 14
(5)/(10)

29
(10)/(10) - 14
(5)/(10) = 15
(5)/(10)

(5)/(10) ÷
(5)/(5) =
(1)/(2)

15
(1)/(2)

I used that I know any number over itself is equal to 1. For example,
(10)/(10) is the same as 1.
