Our town has been facing acute water shortage even in this monsoon. Yes, you heard that right. Monsoon began in mid-June, but our municipality has failed to provide pure drinking water to us. Water from taps and pipes contain a high amount of fluoride and is not suitable for drinking purpose. Despite numerous pleas to the authorities, they have not even replied. Some are trying to collect the water and use it for drinking but it is not practical. We believe that providing water using tankers at least five times a week shall help overcome this water shortage.
Another problem faced by us is the improper construction of roads. Roads have turned muddy and slippery in monsoon. God help the people stuck in water drainages near the footpath. The road was constructed last year only, but within a year it has turned into a pathetic state. By logical and scientific construction of roads, this can be overcome.
