PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE HELP DUE VERY SOON!

Steps
Find three international news stories. Choose one foreign country to focus on for all three stories. It may help to scan and search the news first before choosing your country. Scan news articles for political, economic, or social issues about your country. Select one article for each type of news:
Political (examples: stories about elections or people running for office)
Economic (examples: stories about people out of work or new businesses thriving)
Social (examples: stories about education or health issues)

Be sure to save each article and its source. You need to include the whole URL, or Internet site address link, in your work. You and your instructor may need to find the article later.

You may find this activity on how to Research helpful for this step.

You may also find these Search Tips helpful for starting your research. Look for sites for "world" or "international" news to begin. Some sites may have further links to specific regions or countries for articles, videos, and more.

Read your articles carefully. Write a one-paragraph summary of the ideas, events, or information in each article. Each summary should be four to six sentences in length.

As you read your article, compare the news for your chosen country with current news in the United States. You may refer to the same news sites above for information on the United States. Write a paragraph of four to six sentences to answer the following questions:
Do the countries have similar issues happening?
How might events in these two countries influence each other?

Save your work in one file to turn in. Use the name "Foreign_News_Analysis_your name" for your file to turn in. Check your spelling and grammar.

Summary: The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) led by Prime Minister Narendra Modi suffered a significant defeat in the West Bengal state assembly elections. The state has been under the control of the Trinamool Congress party for the past decade, and the BJP aimed to win the election by projecting Modi's leadership. The defeat is a setback for Modi's national leadership and his party's expansionist plans in East India.

Article Title: India's Record-Breaking Covid Surge Leaves Hospitals Begging for Oxygen

Source: The Guardian

Summary: India is facing a devastating surge in COVID-19 cases, with hospitals overwhelmed and running out of oxygen supplies. The government has been criticized for not being prepared for the surge, and for allowing large religious and political gatherings to take place despite the pandemic. The surge is also exacerbating inequalities in access to healthcare, with poorer and rural areas facing more challenges in accessing medical care.

Comparison with the United States:

India and the United States are both facing economic challenges due to the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic. However, while the US economy has shown signs of recovery, India's economy is still struggling to rebound. Both countries are also facing a surge in COVID-19 cases, but the situation is more severe in India due to its larger population and weaker healthcare infrastructure. The political situation is different, with the US having a stable government while India is facing setbacks for Modi's party. However, the outcomes of these political events can have implications for the global political landscape.
