Explanation:

It give you a clue in the question that the height increases by the same amount each week. This means that if you add 0.25 you will get a constant answer. What I mean by constant is this :-

0.25 + 0.25 = 0.5 in

I can also do it by multiplying it by 2.

2 × 0.25 = 0.5 in

If you add 0.25 every time or if you multiply 0.25 by the number of weeks you will get your answer same. So,

7 × 0.25 = 1.75 in
