In times of crises, people often look to their leaders for guidance and answers.

What are some of the things a president could provide for his people using only his words?
What literary technique does FDR use in order to achieve these things?

Answer Answer 1 is Freedom of speech

Answer 2 is Roosevelt, in his speech, attempted to convince the American people and Congress to follow his plan for the Great Depression. To do so he first compared the Great Depression to a war.

Answer 3 is Our Constitution is so simple and practical that it is possible always to meet them

Roosevelt stated in his first inaugural address that "we have nothing to fear but fear itself." His objectives were to calm the economic fears
