the exterior angle of the interior angle 110° is

180° - 110° = 70°

the sum of the exterior angles of a polygon = 360°

sum the exterior angles and equate to 360

2x - 50 + x + 40 + x + 2x + 70 = 360

6x + 60 = 360 ( subtract 60 from both sides )

6x = 300 (divide both sides by 6 )

x = 50

then exterior angles are

2x - 50 = 2(50) - 50 = 100 - 50 = 50°

x + 40 = 50 + 40 = 90°

x = 50°

2x = 2 × 50 = 100°
