Draw a square with an area of 100cm squared, if each side length is halved, what is the new area?

The new area is 25. The original squares sides would be 10cm long because 10 squares is 100. Half of 10 is 5, so if the new sides are 5 then it would be 25, because 5 squared is 25.

the answer is 25 because to get area you multiply hight and length (the side and bottom) so a area of 100 would have side lengths of 10 therefor you half 10 to get 5 and then do 5 times 5
