6ft = 72in
15ft = 180in

72 x 180 = 12960 sq in

4 x 4 = 16 sq in

12960/16 = 810 tiles

i think i’m right this time

Answer:

Explanation:

To estimate the number of tiles required, we need to calculate the total area of the kitchen floor and divide it by the area of one tile.

First, we convert the dimensions of the kitchen floor to inches, since the tile size is given in inches:

6 feet = 72 inches

15 feet = 180 inches

The area of the kitchen floor in square inches is:

72 inches x 180 inches = 12,960 square inches

The area of one tile in square inches is:

4 inches x 4 inches = 16 square inches

To estimate the number of tiles required, we divide the area of the kitchen floor by the area of one tile:

12,960 square inches / 16 square inches per tile ≈ 810 tiles

Therefore, it will take approximately 810 tiles to tile the kitchen floor. Note that this is an estimate, as some tiles may need to be cut to fit around the edges of the room.
