Explanation:

For this we're going to use trigonometry (specifically SOH CAH TOA)
Because we're finding the opposite and we have the hypotenuse, we will use the sin function (make sure your calculator is in degrees!!!)

sin=O/H

Plugging in:
sin(18)=O/16

Solving:
16sin(18)=O, or approximately 4.9ft.
