Answer:

Each sheet of plywood is $13 and each box of nails is $8.

Explanation:

p --> plywood

n --> nails

25p + 4n = 357

35p + 2n = 471

2n = 471 - 35p

n = 235.5 - 17.5p

25p + 4(235.5 - 17.5p) = 357

25p + 942 - 70p = 357

-45p + 942 = 357

-45p = -585

p = 13

n = 235.5 - 17.5(13)

n = 235.5 - 227.5

n = 8
