1. First off let’s remove the fraction on the right hand side. Therefore we multiply 2x+5 times both the sides. The left side cancels out and leaves x+1. The right side is 2x•6 and 5•6 which is 12x+30. We now have the equation x+1=12x+30.
2. Now we subtract 1 from both sides.
x+1=12x+30
-1 -1
x=12x+29
3. Now subtract 12x from each side.
x=12x+29
-12x -12x
-11x=29
4. Now we need to divide both sides by the same factor.
-11x/-11=29/-11
X= -29/11
