the answer is 80%
when you divide 12/15 you get 0.8 as a decimal but when you changed it to a percentage it’s 80%

When the tub was filled with 12 gallons of water, it was 80% full, calculated by dividing 12 gallons by the total capacity of 15 gallons and multiplying by 100%.

Step-by-step explanation:

To find what percent of the tub was full when filled with 12 gallons of water, we use the formula for percentage: (Part/Whole) × 100%. In this case, the part is 12 gallons, and the whole is the capacity of the tub, which is 15 gallons.

Let's perform the calculation:

Divide the part by the whole: 12 gallons / 15 gallons = 0.8.

Multiply by 100% to get the percentage: 0.8 × 100% = 80%.

Therefore, when the tub was filled with 12 gallons, it was 80% full.
