Adds the five temperatures

so

S=(-54-43-28+34+62)

S=-29 degrees

step 2

Divide the sum of step 1 by the number of values

we have five temperatures

so

-29/5=-5.8 degrees

therefore

the average temperature for these five days was -5.8 degrees Fahrenheit
