Tom's brother saw an advertisement for a special at Muscle Fitness. Membership is $15

monthly, with a mandatory additional $100 charge for equipment maintenance.
Tom saw on television that Platinum Gym was having a grand opening in a few months.
Tom is considering a membership at Platinum Gym. Platinum Gym charges a one-time
registration fee of $60, and membership is $20 a month.
Tom's brother tells him that the Muscle fitness deal is better than the one offered by
Platinum Gym. Is he correct?

Answer: A) 80 - 20 = $60 for registration and 15 + 5 = $20 every month. 20x + 60= cost of Muscle Fitness B) Tom's brother is wrong. They cost the same amount. Platinum Gym cost's $20 a month and $60 for registration as well as Muscle Fitness. There is no better deal or worse deal. They cost the same amount.
