When Trudy planted a large bush in her garden, it was 2 feet tall. Now it is 50% taller. How tall is the bush now?

Answer: 3 feet tall

Explanation:

50% of something is also 1/2 of it. So if we multiply 2 by 1/2 or .5, we get 1. So then we take 1 and add it to 2 because it is 50% taller than what it used to be.
