\cos(x )=\cfrac{\stackrel{adjacent}{4}}{\underset{hypotenuse}{12}}\implies \cos(x)=\cfrac{1}{3}\implies \cos^(-1)[\cos(x)]=\cos^(-1)\left( \cfrac{1}{3} \right) \\\\\\ x=\cos^(-1)\left( \cfrac{1}{3} \right)\implies x\approx 70.5^o

Make sure your calculator is in Degree mode.
