There are multiple ways to determine if an online source is credible. For example, credible sources often have the top-level domain .gov, .edu, or .org. (Make sure to check that they aren't fake versions of those websites to be safe because people do that often) If you're not using those sites, I would suggest researching the author's name to check if he's reliable or not.

Answer:

You can check the domain name to see if it has, ".gov, .edu, .org" in the footnotes. (be aware of sites that fake the domain name by including it somewhere in the title) Also, you can check the author's name and reliability. That should generally clear up whether or not the website is reliable.
