The equation of this combustion is
2C2H6 + 7 O2 ————> 4CO2 + 6 H2O
According to the stoichiometry of the reaction:
n(C2H6) /2 = n (CO2)/4
n(CO2) = 4x 5 / 2 = 10 moles

Answer:

Step-by-step explanation:

10 as the oxygen is infinite in air
carbon is limiting reagent and hence only it matters
now in 5 moles of c2h6 you have 10 mole c

after combustion the hydrogen and oxygen gonna form water

and you left with 10 moles co2
