This lab shows a small-scale demonstration of the power of water and wind to erode and transport sediment. Think about the research paper you are writing about Noah’s Flood. In Genesis 7:11–12, 19 (ESV®), the Bible says, “… on that day all the fountains of the great deep burst forth, and the windows of the heavens were opened. And the rain fell upon the earth forty days and forty nights … And the waters prevailed so mightily on the Earth that all the high mountains under the whole heaven were covered.” When the flood ended, the waters receded, and dry land began to appear (Gen. 8:3–5). That is A LOT of moving water with A LOT of power to erode and change the Earth's landscape rapidly!
