there is 440 miles left to cover

the two trains have a closing speed of ( 60 + 50 ) = 110 mi / hr

440 mi / 110 mii/hr = 4 hrs after second train departure when the trains meet .....this would be 1 pm + 4 hrs = 5 pm ( 5 hours after the DC train leaves at noon)
