d^2 = ( x1-x2)^2 +(y1-y2)^2 ( it does not matter which you assign as '1' or '2'

d^2 = ( -7-3)^2 + (-4 - -9)^2

d^2 = 125

d = sqrt (125) = 5 sqrt (5)
