Answer:

Function B has a pattern of -3 as you replace x with values higher than -3 in f(x)

Function A on the other hand has a pattern of -2 for values equal to or lower than -3 in f(x).

I don't know what else to make of this...

Function A:

2x - 5

for x = -3:

2(-3) - 5

-6 - 5

-11 (correct, it's less than -3)

Function B:

-3x + 4

for x > -3:

-3(-3) + 4

9 + 4

13 (correct, it's higher than -3)
