A circle with a radius of 7 feet is cut into 6 equal pieces. How many square feet are 2 of the pieces? Use 22 over 7 for π.

Explanation:

First find the Area of the circle:

A = 22/7 * r^2

A = 22/7 * (7)^2

A = 22/7 * 49 = 154 square feet

Divide the circle's area in 6 pieces:

154/6 = 25 and two thirds is ONE piece of the circle

Two pieces of the circle is 25 and two thirds * 2 = 51 and one third
