Answer

She should mix 72 ounces of water with the lemon juice.

What is percentage ?

Percentage is the value per hundredth.

According to the given question.

Laronda wants to make fresh lemonade. The recipe she finds online recommends that the fresh lemon juice should be 20% of the total volume and water is of 80% then.

Given she has 18 ounces of lemon juice which is 20% of the total lemonade.

Assuming total ounces of lemonade is x.

∴ (20/100) of x = 18.

(20/100) × x = 18.

(2/10)x = 18

2x = 180.

x = 90.

So, total ounces of lemonade is 90 in which 18 ounces is lemon juice.

∴ Water is (90 - 18) ounces which is

= 72 ounces.
