Answer: Zeus is involved by honoring Helio's request and punishes the ship for eating the sun Gods cattle and destroys Odysseus's ship with a lightning bolt. Killing all of his men except for him.

And no he wasn't willing

Step-by-step explanation:

Helios went to the King of the Gods, Zeus, and threatened that he would bring the sun to the underworld unless justice was given to him. He did this because Odysseus's men ate his cattle while Odysseus was sleeping. Zeus had no choice but to punish him; Sending a lightning bolt to kill Odysseus' men while on the ship.
