At a farmer's market, two vendors sell fresh milk. One vendor sells 2 liters for $3.80, and another vendor sells 1.5 liters for $2.70. Which is the better deal. Explain your reasoning

Answer:

Explanation:

okay so we know that the first vendor sells 2 liters for $3.80, and the other one sells 1 and a half liter. S

First we need to find the unit rate. We can do this by dividing the price by the amount.

So for the first vendor we would do 3.80/2 which equals $1.40 per liter.

Now we do the same thing g for the second one too. We would do 2.70/1/5 which is $1.80.

Therefore the first one is better because they are cheaper by 40cents.

Hope this helps!

Answer:

1.5 liters

Explanation:

when you divide 3.8 by 2 you get 1.9

when you divide 2.7 by 1.5 you get 1.8 therefore 1.5 l is the better deal
