Explanation:

for an equation
ax^2+bx+c to factor you need to figure out what numbers add to b and multiply to c. In this case b is -1 and c is -6. It is easier because one of the numbers has already been figured out for you so what number combined with 2 will add to -1 and multiply to -6? the answer would be -3 because 2+(-3) is -1 and 2*(-3) is -6.
