How are osmosis and diffusion alike? 1 Neither Process crosses a semi permeable membrane 2 Both processes can occur across semi permeable membrane 3 Both processes require additional energy 4 Both processes always move molecules from an area of lower concentration to an area of higher concentration

My answer - based on the definition of each process - should be:

"Both processes require additional energy" because both osmosis and diffusion involve the movement of water or particles across a semi-permeable membrane in order to equalize the pressure/concentration gradient, and the process cannot reach completion unless the driving force of the concentration gradient (energy) is present.
