(rise)/(run) or
(y2-y1)/(x2-x1). For the sake of simplicity, we will use
(rise)/(run)

Using
(rise)/(run), the slope is -1.

The line passes through (0, 8), which means the y intercept is 8. Thus, the equation is
y=-x+8
