Hi, can someone help me on solving this? (Rt is total resistance, It is total current and VT is total voltage)

Answer:

Below

Step-by-step explanation:

You have total current correct 3 A from the ammeter in the circuit.

Must find total resistance to calculate the Vt

the two resistors in parallel = 12 * 6 / (12+6) = 4 Ω

then add this equivalent R to the other R that is in series

8 + 4 = 12 Ω < ==== Rt

then Vt = It Rt

Vt = 3 * 12 = 36 v

V1 = It R1 = 3 * 8 = 24 V

V2 and V3 are equal and would be the voltage left 36-24 = 12 v

or you could calculate V2 and V3 V2 = V3 = It R = 3 ( 4 Ω) = 12 v
