Prime numbers are positive integers greater than 1 that are divisible only by 1 and themselves. In other words, they have exactly two positive divisors.

Here are the prime numbers between 1 and 30:

2, 3, 5, 7, 11, 13, 17, 19, 23, 29

Note that 1 is not a prime number, as it only has one positive divisor (itself). The number 2 is the only even prime number, and all other primes are odd. The set of prime numbers goes on infinitely, and there is no known pattern for the distribution of primes.
