What is a tertiary consumer in a food web?

Answer: A tertiary consumer is a consumer that gets the least amount of energy, they eat the secondary consumer. Most of the time they will only eat animals which would make them a carnivore and are sometimes referred to as apex predator. For example like a Coyote or a Eagle.
