First step is to know that 1kg=2.2lbs

So we have to find what 8.8kg is in lbs so to do that we have to convert it

1kg=2.2lbs
8.8kg= x lbs

1 8.8
— = —— Which becomes the equation
2.2 X Of 1(x)=2.2(8.8)

Which becomes x=2.2(8.8)
X=19.36

19.36 is the amount the bag weighs in lbs

Now to figure out how much 4/5 is apples
So you can do 4/5*19.36 or you can do the decimal of 4/5 which is 0.8

4/5 or 0.8 * 19.36= 15.488
Rounded up is 15.49

So 15.49lbs is how much the apples weigh

Now we take the whole bag of lbs and sun tract the weight of the apples

19.36-15.49= 3.87

3.87is the amount the pears weight in lbs now we have to figure out how much that is in kg

So again we have to convert it 1kg=2.2lbs
1kg=2.2lbs
X kg= 3.87lbs

1 X
— = ——- 1(3.87)=2.2(x)
2.2 3.87. 3.87=2.2x
Divide both sides by 2.2
1.76=x

So 1.76kg is how many pears is in the bag that got sold
