John had always been an independent person. He had moved out of his parents' home as soon as he had turned 18, and had been living on his own ever since. He had a good job and a small but cozy apartment. Everything was going well for him until he met Amy.
Amy was different. She was outgoing and sociable, and John was immediately drawn to her. They started dating, and soon they were inseparable. John found himself falling in love with her, and he knew that she felt the same way.
One day, John woke up to find that Amy wasn't in bed. He looked around the apartment but couldn't find her. He tried calling her, but her phone was switched off. He started to panic. He had never felt this way before, and he didn't know what to do. He decided to send her a text message.
"Hey, where are you? I'm really worried. Please let me know you're okay."
John waited anxiously for a response. When he didn't get one, he started to feel even more worried. He decided to call her again, but her phone was still switched off. He tried to stay calm, but he couldn't help thinking the worst.
Finally, after what seemed like an eternity, his phone beeped. It was a text message from Amy.
"Sorry, I had to go out early this morning. I didn't want to wake you. I'll be back soon."
John breathed a sigh of relief. He felt silly for getting so worked up, but he knew that he couldn't help it. From that day on, he made sure that he and Amy always kept each other informed about where they were and what they were doing. It was a small thing, but it made a big difference. They were happy together, and they knew that they could always count on each other.
