Answer: -2y^2+2y+18

Work Shown:

(y^2-4y+9)-(3y^2-6y-9)

y^2-4y+9-3y^2+6y+9

(y^2-3y^2)+(-4y+6y)+(9+9)

-2y^2+2y+18

You can use a tool like GeoGebra or WolframAlpha to confirm the answer is correct.
