plant 110 more acres of soybeans than corn. How many acres of each
crop does she need to plant?

Soybeans: 205, Corn: 95

Explanation:

let x rep acre of soybeans

let y rep acre of corn

Equation one: 110 + y = x

Equation two: 300 = x + y or 300 - y = x

Substitute

300 - y = 110 + y

190 = 2y

y = 95

Find x

110 + y = x

110 + (95) = x

x = 205
