Lodgepole pine and quaking aspen share a large portion of their distribution ranges in the western US. In an area with both species, after a wildfire which would you expect to become the dominant species in the first 20 years after a fire? Why?

The species that would become more dominant would be the one with better and stronger traits than the other. Maybe look at the the text that describes or explains the two species and then you can decide :)
