First we need to find the area of the full region of the rectangle.


A=5x+3 * x^(2) +4x-10


A=\left(x^2+4x-10\right)\left(5x+3\right)


A=5x^3+23x^2-38x-30

Then find the area of the shaded region.


A=3x\left(2x-1\right)


A=6x^2-3x

Then subtract the total with the non-shaded region.

So the area of the shaded region will be
5x^(3) +17x^2-35x-30
